

In addition to his presentations at USITT, Jeromy has presented professional workshops through the LDInstitute, as well as teaching master classes around the country on QLab, projection design, and dance production. Jeromy is a longtime member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, where he has presented numerous sessions, primarily through the education commission. His text on QLab is the best-selling text for the industry-standard software.

In addition to his teaching and freelance work, Jeromy is the author of QLab 3 Show Control and Dance Production: Design and Technology. It features Projection Mapping functions which can be easily downloaded and accessed on laptops (and with a hired projector from ToyStore). Professor Hopgood is also an artistic associate for the Michigan Shakespeare Festival, where he serves as the Technical Director and resident scenic designer. QLab is sound, video, and lighting control for macOS intended for use in theatre and live entertainment. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas in scenic design with a secondary emphasis in lighting design.

Jeromy has previously served as a faculty member at Appalachian State University and the University of Kentucky.
